Kris Parker, Director

 

Kris Parker joined the Main family in October 2016. She has been blessed with a beautiful family that she loves dearly. Kris has been working for Cornerstone since 2006 where she began her career as a School Age Group Leader, she served as the Director at the City location for 10 years prior to being promoted to Main. In the beginning, she worked her way up to being a director within two years while obtaining education along the way. Kris received her Associate's Degree as well as her Bachelor's Degree in Early Childhood. She completed her Master’s Degree in Early Intervention in 2017 and plans to utilize her studies to help children with special needs as well as take Cornerstone to the next level. Kris enjoys working for Cornerstone and is appreciative of her team. Her childcare philosophy is to be a child’s advocate and do everything possible within her control to make their learning experiences positive and meaningful so that they will go through life already stacked for success.

Meloney Whittle, Assistant Director
 

We welcome Meloney Whittle, Assistant Director, to the CCDC Leadership Team! Kris Parker, Director and Michelle Macon, Executive Director is training Meloney at Cornerstone Main, Webb Road. Meloney is from Richmond, Kentucky but has lived in North Carolina for over 30 years. She has been in childcare for 25+ years. 

 

Meloney’s experience includes all age groups and positions from Assistant Teacher to Assistant Director. She has an        Associate Degree in Early Childhood Education and has        Administration Credentials. Meloney and her husband, Andy of 17 years, have three sons. Her husband works at Peterbilt of Charlotte as the warehouse manager. Her sons are all currently working and living in Stanly County. 

 

Meloney’s philosophy in early childhood education is to care for each child and let their personalities shine. encourages them to dream big and never give up on those dreams.     It is important to her that children do not give in to failure but learn from it and strive to reach their potential and beyond. She enjoys serving and working with the families and children and is so excited she has joined the CCDC team. She looks forward to getting to know the program and making her own footprints at CCDC.
