Janet was born and raised in Groveton, New Hampshire. She became a resident of Rowan County in 1999. Janet has four children and six grandchildren. She earned an Associate's degree in Early Childhood Education and Bachelor's degree in Birth thru Kindergarten Education and holds an  Administration Level III director certification. Janet has worked in the early childhood field of education for the 18 years. She began her career as a floating teacher; since then she has had several positions: assistant teacher, lead teacher, assistant director and director. In 2004, Janet began her childcare director experience. She believes early care and education is vital to a child’s developmental growth and together we make a team: parents,  educators and community resources to help the whole child. Janet is  excited about the opportunity to join the Cornerstone CDC team.
