About Artrice: Artrice will join the Main Center family as a training director to assist at Main and our other 4 Cornerstone locations. She was born and raised in Rowan County, NC. Artrice and her daughter, Brooklyn, reside in Rowan County. She is delighted to be working with the administrators, staff, children and community. Artrice graduated from North Carolina Agricultural and Technical State University. She received a Bachelor of Science Degree in Child Development and Family Studies, concentrating in Family Relations and has Level 3 Early Childhood Administration Credentials. She is also currently enrolled in college to obtain her graduate degree in Leadership and Administration in Early Childhood Education. Artrice has been working in childcare for over 9 years. Her early childhood career began as a floating teacher; working with infants through pre-k. After some time; her career advanced as a co-lead teacher in the two year old’s room. She worked as a co-lead teacher in many classrooms throughout the years, ranging from two year old's through pre-k. She believes educators should remain open and flexible. After her 9th year of teaching, she decided to come out of the classroom and explore leadership positions. Artrice was offered a leadership position as the curriculum specialist/assistant director. This is where she fell in love with being able to mentor and help others grow while making sure the center as a whole is very competitive in all areas. During Artrice’s spare time she likes to vacation, take her daughter on outings, spend time with family, fish, and shop. She looks forward to this CCDC journey and growing with the team and bringing awesome ideas to continue the legacy of greatness!
