Our Services

Playing with Baby

Infants (6 weeks- 12 months)

Our infant program provides a safe, warm and nurturing environment, while at the same time offering multiple planned and stimulating opportunities for your child to discover, explore, and learn. Our staff fully understands each of the developmental stages that an infant moves through on the way to becoming a toddler. It is this understanding of early age education that allows them to guide infants to develop motor skills, increase language awareness, and form positive, secure relationships with their ever expanding world.

Kindergarten Guide

Toddlers (13 months-23 months)

It is at this stage of development when young minds begin to form meaningful connections to the world in which they live. Through planned activities and free play, our toddlers are carefully guided as they learn how to communicate, begin to care for themselves, express feelings appropriately, and understand how to play with others and interact appropriately with adults. During this period, your child will learn skills that include pushing and pulling objects, turning and bending, matching objects by color and size, follow simple one-step directions, and building an early vocabulary.

Art Class

Two & Three Year Olds

Our curriculum includes a variety of intriguing activities that stimulate early brain development with a focus on creative play. Although it may all look like kids having fun, it is also learning in action. Positive interaction encourages the development of emotional, language, and social skills, and enhances the development of a positive self-esteem. Typical centers include:  Language/Library, Technology/Computers, Construction/Blocks, Science, Dramatic Play, Outdoor Learning, Art/Creative Expression, Music and Movement, Sensory: Sand and Water, Math/Manipulatives

Art Class

The physical space of The Creative Curriculum classroom is organized into 10 indoor interest areas: Blocks, Dramatic Play, Toys and Games, Art, Library, Discovery, Sand and Water, Music and Movement, Cooking, and Computers The 10 indoor interest areas plus the outdoor space offer multiple opportunities for children to explore, discover, and learn. Kids Reading Outdoor

School Age (5-12 Years Old)
Before/After School Program

Our program is designed to provide an engaging environment where school-aged children can spend time with friends before and after school. To make it convenient for you, we provide transportation to and from over 10 schools in Rowan County.  Our centers work with your school calendar and offer fun-filled programs during holidays and out-of-school days. The Benefits: "Children in After School programs get better grades than their peers. They show greater interest in school, learn new skills, and exhibit improved behavior. Youth who do not attend after school programs are at greater risk of being involved in crime, and are missing out on important opportunities to learn and grow." www.afterschoolalliance.org We Open Early! Cornerstone Child Development Centers open at 6a.m. in many locations which serve the varying shifts of working and busy families. The Homework Help Club is designed to relieve some of the stress homework may bring to your child and fosters a sense of support and encouragement. This promotes a healthy beginning, middle and end to another successful school year, plus adds more quality time for your family.
