Emergency Preparedness

April 8, 2015

What do you do in case of an emergency? Emergencies can come suddenly with little or no warning! Being prepared can allow you to better protect yourself, families, property, and to help others who may be affected. By implementing a plan for emergency situations, you can enable staff and families to make decisions and take appropriate actions during an emergency. Cornerstone Child Development Centers practices emergency preparedness drills on a regular basis. Examples include but are not limited to: Fire, Sudden Infant Death Syndrome (SIDS), First Aid and CPR, and Intruder drills etc.

How can you help as a parent?

·       Update any contact information and or provide documentation for custody agreements.

·       Provide documentation of other specific information as it pertains to the care, safety of arrival, and departure of your child.

·       Educate yourself on what procedures your center follows for emergencies.

“There's no harm in hoping for the best as long as you're prepared for the worst.”
